Cluster Analysis as an Appropriate Technique for Classification in Medicine: Application to Some Empirical Data on Neurology

Abstract

The present article is an attempt to demonstrate the importance of cluster analysis in the classification of subjects—in this case patients—by grouping them according to the similarities they show in regard to disease. This is done by taking as an example certain neurological manifestations that define groups of patients with similar characteristics and variables.
