Abstract
Eight schools for Special Education, four of which were Jewish and four Arabic, participated in a study that examined the effects of organization features on students’ gains in three subjects: Basic Learning Skills, Reading Comprehension and Math. The Jewish and Arabic schools were compared regarding the relationship between organizational features and student gains. Results indicate that: A. A high correlation was found between school organization efficiency and students’ gains in basic learning skills and in reading comprehension. B. Jewish schools scored higher than Arabic schools on the organization features, but the gap between the Jewish and Arabic students was more salient in favor of Jewish students then the gap between the schools regarding their organizational features.
