Formulation and Evaluation of Phytosome Tablet Of Cucumis Sativus Linn Plant

Abstract

The main aim was extracted extract from plant Cucumissativus and prepared their phytosome which is then followed by its tablet formulation. The leaves and stem of the Cucumissativus Linn were collected, shade dried and powdered after authentification. Successive solvent extraction has been done by using solvents i.e. petroleum ether 60-80ºC, chloroform and methanol. Antisolvent precipitation technique, rotary evaporation technique and solvent evaporation technique was used to prepare phytosomes and successfully performed characterization of phytosome. Then prepared phytosome and other excipients were used to make tablets. To meet quality standards, their evaluation parameters were successfully performed. Dissolution time study has been done to determine percentage release of drugs.
