Abstract

The study was designed to examine E-governance and the performance of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in terms of service delivery. The study adopted survey research design, while data was collected with questionnaires and administered to staff of INEC. Simple percentages, Person correlation and regression analysis were for data analysis and hypothesis testing using SPSS Version 23. Findings of the study revealed a statistically significant relationship between ICT and INEC performance, as well as showed significant effect of E-governance on INEC performance at p<0.05. The study concludes that for INEC to achieve success in service delivery using e-governance, certain measure must be taken to ensure proper implementation of ICT policies in order to achieve the desired goals and to serve the citizens better. It therefore recommends INEC to embrace E-governance by promoting the use of ICT facilities among the citizens and government agencies, and to make policies that would sustain ICT projects in order to achieve efficiency and effectiveness in the public sector.
