Abstract
Employee workload is usually determined in the form of procedures or Company Operational Work Standards (SOP) according to the type of work. In general, the optimal amount of workload will be achieved if there is no excessive pressure and tension both physically and mentally. Basically, various sources of stress can come from within the work or from outside the work. Stress is a very complex problem and is often misunderstood that stress can have an impact on performance and commitment.
Respondents in this study were employees of UPTD Puskesmas Payangan. The number of respondents in this study were 80 respondents using the non-Probability, namely the saturated sample or often called total sampling. This research uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis of SmartPls 3.2.8 program.
The results of this study indicate that: 1) Workload has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment, 2) Workload has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, 3) Work stress has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment, 4) Work stress has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, 5) Organizational commitment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance.
